The group was recording the prank for TikTok when they rang the doorbell of a home on McKenzie Lane around 3 a.m. The homeowner, Tyler Chase Butler, 27, believed they were attempting a break-in and opened fire, striking Bosworth in the torso. Bosworth later died at the hospital; another teen was grazed by a bullet, while a third was unharmed.
