Tory Lanez Said Meg Thee Stallion is His Friend...Even Tho She is Trying To Put Him in PRISON

Megan Thee Stallion has seemingly responded after Tory Lanez’s latest attempt to refute the allegations against him stemming from the July 12 shooting incident. Throughout the ordeal and subsequent legal proceedings, the Canadian rap artist has continued to maintain his innocence. Last night (October 20), he went on instagram Live to address the matter. This is Lanez’s first time directly addressing the incident after dropping his poorly timed Daystar album in September. The 28-year-old insisted the allegations against him were “not true” and refuted Megan’s version of the events. Lanez also said that he had planned to release a statement but was advised against doing so by Roc Nation, who Megan is signed to. He went on to say that the accusations going around is “false information” and not “accurate.” “I don't ever wanna come off like I'm here to bash this girl or I'm here to talk down about this girl or ever be at a place where, like, I'm disrespecting her, because to me, as a person, she's still my friend,” he said. “No matter what — even if she doesn't look at me like that — I look at her like she's still my friend.” Lanez is currently facing felony charges of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle for the July 12 shooting incident. He is also facing a “gun allegation and that he personally afflicted great bodily harm,” which was brought against him by the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office on October 8. Lanez appeared in court by phone on October 13 for his arraignment hearing but it was postponed until November 18. According to the Associated Press, the judge did however issue a protective order against him wherein he is legally required to stay at least 100 yards away from Megan and cannot contact her. Additionally, the rapper was ordered to surrender any guns he owns. Three months ago, on July 12, the 25-year-old Houston rapper was shot in both of her feet after Lanez reportedly fired at her following an argument. At the time, he was arrested and charged for possession of a concealed firearm in a vehicle. He was released after posting $35,000 for bond. On August 21, Megan went public and named Lanez as the one who shot her which resulted in the current charges against him. If convicted, Lanez could face a maximum sentence of roughly 23 years. https://www.bet.com/music/2020/10/21/megan-thee-stallion-tory-lanez-instagram-live.html
