Chicago O-Block Rapper A ROY Was Putting Those Hands On a 17 Year Old...AND THEN THIS HAPPENED

A report from Chicago Police from December 13th matches the incident in the viral video. Who was ARoy? And what happened to him? Here’s what we know. WHO WAS AROY? James Johnson, also known as ARoy, was an up-and-coming rapper from Chicago. ARoy was a member of the hip-hop group The Mistakes and part of the Chicago rap collective Only The Family, which was formed by Lil Durk in 2010. He hung around in O Block, a dangerous neighbourhood in Chicago that is often referenced in the music of Chicago rappers, like Chief Keef, and is known for its gangs. It is unclear whether he had any social media profiles. The video shows the rapper in a fight with another individual. Just when he thinks he has won and walks away, a man then shoots him. A report from Chicago Police says that a man was found by police with gunshot wounds on Monday (December 13th). The description from police matches the incident in the video. “In the 6400 block of S. King Drive at approximately 1:50 p.m., a 26-year-old male victim was on the sidewalk and involved with a physical altercation with an unknown male offender,” the report says. “The offender then produced a firearm and fired shots at the victim. The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the body and was transported the University of Chicago Hospital in critical condition.” DEBUNKE
