The Sister Sister actress announced last year that she was leaving Cory, after almost 15 years of marriage. Tia claimed at the time that she was leaving her husband because she wanted “freedom” and was hoping to “live her best life” as a single woman. Since the divorce, Media Take Out learned, Tia went on a press run – where she told any and everyone how happy she is to have broken up her household. Now she’s adding even more fuel to the fire. Media Take Out learned in a new interview with HelloBeautiful, the Sister, Sister alum, 44, opened up about how her decision to leave the All American: Homecoming actor, 43, because it was ultimately in the best interest of her kids. Tia Mowry says “chasing her truth” by filing for divorce from Cory Hardrict was “the best gift” she could give her children. “A part of my decision was also for them,” Mowry said of filing for divorce for her two children, daughter Cairo, 5, and son Cree, 11. “For them seeing their mother walk in truth, I feel like it’s a great lesson for them because it was not an easy decision.” Tia really needs to move on if she’s as happy as she says she is . . .
