A Colorado sheriff’s deputy resigned this week after officials learned she’d appeared in pornographic videos — a second career she took to “out of desperation” over mounting bills. Shannon Lofland, a 21-year veteran of the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office, told CBS News Colorado that she turned to the seedy world of adult cinema because her finances had soured and she couldn’t keep up. “I was desperate, I was drowning,” she told the station. “I found a legal, lucrative means for providing that support for my family that I needed at that time to save my home for them and feed my family.”
