NBA star Jimmy Butler has found himself in a different kind of court battle. Daily Mail reported on Friday (Jan. 10) that Butler, is 35, has entered into a financial battle with Kaitlin Nowak, his former flame and mother of his three children, over child support. Legal papers obtained by the outlet state that Butler is currently paying Nowak $55,000 a month in child support. Butler previously came to a partial agreement with Nowak on their three children in December 2023, stating that the athlete would temporarily pay for a nanny. Now, Nowak is asking for an additional $10,000 per month in support for a nanny, which has Butler scratching his head. The child support was sealed and confidential until the Miami Heat player opted for a court hearing to challenge the nanny motion. “It must be pointed out that the Father and Mother were never married,” the court filing reads. “Mother is not entitled to live as if she is married to a National Basketball Association (NBA) player… Mother is unemployed and refuses to seek employment. With one child in preschool and Father exercising equal timesharing with the older children, there is no legitimate reason for Mother to insist both on a nanny and that Father pay for that nanny.”
