Eve Admits White Zaddy Gave Her THIS Negro Wake Up Call

Rapper Eve has been married to entrepreneur Maximillion Cooper since 2014, and they’re still going strong. But Eve had to weather a strong storm when she first began dating Cooper because of her relationship’s interracial makeup. However, the Ruff Ryders artist was sometimes just as confused as her audience was about her and her partner’s love. Cooper couldn’t have been anymore different from Eve’s previous boyfriends. Before Cooper, perhaps one of Eve’s most well-known lovers was hip hop producer Stevie J. She’s also reportedly been in relationships with T.I. and Nelly. The only thing Cooper seemed to have in common with Eve’s exes is being smitten by the “Who’s That Girl?” singer. It was a question Cooper might’ve asked himself when he first saw her at an event he was hosting in 2010. Cooper couldn’t get Eve out of her head afterwards, and passionately pursued her. The two would reveal themselves as a couple in late 2010, then would marry four years later in 2014. But a lot of Eve’s fans couldn’t look past the interracial aspect of their relationship. In a resurfaced interview with Hot 97 (via Rolling Out), she couldn’t help but respond to the criticism she faced dating outside of her race. “I need them to stop [caring about interracial dating]. What year is it? Like, stop. Seriously,” she said. But at the same time, Eve confided that she sympathized and even shared some of her critics’ reaction to Cooper. “Trust me, I gotta say, it is weird for me that I’m with a white dude. Trust me. I look at him sometimes and I’m like, ‘You are so white.’ Seriously! Yes, I gotta be real like that,” she continued. “I’m the first black girl he’s ever been with, so we are learning. Trust me, he’s been through ‘Weave 101…we learn a lot about each other. But people came at me like, ‘I can’t believe you’re dating a white dude and you don’t like black dudes no more.’ I’m like, ‘I love black men, it just so happens that my heart went this way right now.’”
