Texas rapper That Mexican OT is facing growing scrutiny over his use of the N-word, and he’s not backing down. In a recent interview with Lip Service, the rising artist was directly questioned about whether he believes it’s appropriate for him to use the word in his vocabulary, given its historical weight and the sensitivity around non-Black people adopting it. OT’s response was unapologetic and confrontational. “I’m gonna tell you why … I wish there was some Black dudes in here,” he said, before pointing out a Black man present at the interview. “OK, we’re gonna use him.
